The transition between past and future is expressed best at the moment of crossing over, when one moves forward but still looks back. The moving forward is a sign of strength carried by the muscularity of the figure, but the poignancy of looking back is as valuable. As it is directed at the one who is left behind, the message might be summed up in one word. What this word might depend utterly on the viewer.
